If Only I Could Love you Forever: Chapter 1

As you were walking down the unfamiliar streets of Konoha, the memories of where you used to live started to flood your head. Sora was a nice, peaceful, and quiet place, where there were no ninjas at all. You knew everyone there and had plenty of friends, but here you didn’t know anyone, it’s the complete opposite of Sora. Your parents were Konoha ninja and the only reason you lived in Sora was because your parents received special permission from the Third Hokage. At a young age your parents started training you, and you didn’t understand why until now. They didn’t want to worry about you when they were sent on missions, but once you hit the age of 13 they hurriedly packed up and came back to Konoha.

You were walking to the Ninja Academy until you accidentally stepped on someone and fell face to the ground. When you were finally able to look up you saw a boy with brown hair and a ponytail.

"I’m sorry for stepping on you!" You apologize.

"Oh, it’s okay." He replied, once he was able to sit up he said, "Hi I’m Shikamaru. You must be the new student that everyone is all fired up to talk about."

"I guess so. My name is Yuuki." You tell him.

"Here I’ll show you to your class. We’re in the same one anyway." He said as he walked with you.

While he was walking you around the school he would inform you about certain places and classrooms. Once you were finally inside of the classroom everything went silent. Everyone was staring at you now, making you feel awkward and unwanted.

Until a man came out and said, "Everyone this is our new student Yuuki. My name is Iruka, and I will be your sensei. I will be back so please make her feel welcomed."

Once Iruka sensei left the classroom a group of girls stood up and said, "Why does she have to be in our class? She didn’t even take the exams that we had too. I don’t see why she gets to be in a squad like everyone else, and become a genin."

"Yeah, I bet she doesn’t even know how to throw a kunai. The only thing she’s going to TRY and do is make Sasuke become her boyfriend. Like that would ever happen.Over my dead body, that’s for sure." Another girl said.

You were getting really pissed off at what those girls were saying about you. They didn’t even know you. As you placed your hand inside of your pocket, you felt Shikamaru’s hand holding down your arm.

"It’s not worth it Yuuki. Do you want to start trouble on your first day?" He asked.

Unfortunately it was already too late. The kunai headed towards one of the girls, and even though she dodged it, it cut off all of her pretty long hair. She looked like a five year olds' doll, a really bad one.

"Look at what you did!! It took me forever to grow all of this hair! Auuuugh!" She yelled.

"Well you know what, it can take you forever to grow all of that hair back. Plus whoever you were talking about I don’t even know who he is, and I don’t really care." You retorted back at her.

She ran out of the classroom along with her followers, trying to feel for her hair. Practically the whole class was staring at you now; some in amazement and other were terrified.

"Yuuki now look what you did, everyone’s afraid of you. Was that the first impression you wanted to make on them?" Shikamaru asked.

"Yeah if that means that they all will just leave me alone." You told him as you both sat down in a vacant row.
There was one particular boy not even staring at you though.

"Who's that boy sitting on the other side like this?" You ask Shikamaru while mimicking his exact position.

That boy over there is Sasuke. The boy those girls were talking about." Shikamaru told you.

"Oh! Well, he looks dull and boring. At least I have a good friend like you Shikamaru." You replied.

"Being dull and boring is supposed to be my job, but with you here it's kind of hard. I just hope that you don't end up like Naruto." He said.

"Who's Naruto?" You ask him.

"Naruto is the boy over by Sasuke. I wouldn't say those two are friends, they're more like rivals." He answered.

"Oh. Okay." You said.  

The door slammed open and two girls came running into the classroom. They both looked like they had just ran a marathon.

"Before you ask let me answer your question. The girl with the pink hair is Sakura and the one with blond hair is Ino. They have been fighting for Sasuke's love ever since they figured out they both liked him. They used to be friends." Shikamaru said.

You couldn't help but watch them fight over a boy who was paying no attention to them at all. Then you direct your attention to Naruto and Sasuke, until Iruka sensei came back into the classroom.

"Listen up everyone, I'm going to tell you what squad you're on." He said before he started to recite all of them up to six, that's when he said, "In squad seven, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Yuuki."

"That's not fair. Why do they get to have four team members?" One girl interrupted.

"Because either way one group will have four members." Iruka said.

"It's okay, I don't need a group. I don't even want to become a ninja anyway. So there! I'm going home." You say as you gather your stuff.

"What are you going to do now?" An unfamiliar voice said, stopping you as you were walking.

"Didn't you just hear me I said I was going home." You reply as you opened the door.

"You're just going to give up? After everything that happened, you quit because of a comment? I thought you were tougher than that." You turned around to see Naruto talking to you.

"Naruto that's enough. Yuuki if you would like to you can leave, but this is your only chance to become a genin." Iruka said.

That's when you walked back to your seat and apologized, "Sorry Iruka sensei, it won't happen again."

After that Iruka had continued placing everyone in squads. You felt like an idiot for making two big scenes on the first day. 'I wish I was back in Sora, at least I wouldn't make such an idiot out of myself.' You thought.

"Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." You say to Shikamaru as you exit the class.
